How I Got Started
As an artist, I’m always looking for the next opportunity to translate my everyday experiences into artistic expressions.
The best thing about art is you can never get it wrong. It’s a form of my self-expression and I’m inspired by the people around me, the conversations I have, the feelings and the journeys of my travels and experiences.
My journey began with the love of art back in school and then transpired throughout my adult years.
It was only during lockdown I really began experiencing and experimenting with the love of art. Starting off with paint by numbers and then free form of expressing my art with pouring paint and fluid art. I found this flow of colour, contour and merging together to create a master piece a way to bond all of my ideas and thoughts together with paint. They say ‘putting pen to paper’ is good for the mind but so is ‘putting paint on canvas’ in my mind.

I suppose my love for art was also ignited by a men’s wellness group, HUMEN, which I was part of. This supported with men discussing their own well-being practices around mental health and ways to support each other. Ones man’s love of art really resonated with me which inspired me to start my own art journey.
From then on, I began making several pieces of art, inspired by my travels and thoughts, music and conversations i'd had with people or by the wildlife or scenery when walking my dog.

I will always have a routine of making art. This starts off with some good music, with my headphones in to inspire me; whether this is some classical music, current chart, dance or Indian or Hindi music. I’d say the music speaks to me by invoking a feeling, which then prompts me with what colour I’d use and the type of art I’ll produce.
Each of my paintings are meaningful to me; whether it’s based on my mood, thoughts, feelings or emotions and I hope anyone who comes across my art will be inspired as I have been with creating it.
